Tan Haw

I’ve been recording, producing, releasing and performing as my stage name Tan Haw for about a decade. Rooted in my Classical Iranian music training and tapping into the modal structures of the repertoire of Iranian microtonal music, I write music that explores intersections of this ancient art form with contemporary world genres such as electronica, psychedelic rock, cumbia, folk rock and more. In anticipation of my first LP Roya -ye Mahtâb (scheduled for release in Spring 2027) I realized that my Linktree page was too limiting. I needed a better tool for storytelling, booking and promotion. So I built tanhaw.ir. This website is a home to a series of immersive vignettes that I’m currently building to release along with the album itself.
