Heartbeat of a Window

In 2022, I was commissioned by artist Nooshin Rostami to score their magical realist visual poem titled “Heartbeat of a Window”. The film contemplates the transitional experience of consciousness between life and the afterlife and offers a tapestry of extraterrestrial drawings made from light and shadow, reflections in mirrors as portals, and ritualistic performances staged in imaginary yet natural landscapes. In sound design, I used field recordings from the shoot, augmented by ambient software synthesizers and audio metaphors of tension, inversion, undoing and transcendence.
