On doing & un-doing

Interactive Video Installation, 2017

On doing and Un-doing is an interactive video installation that explores the notion of immigration through a fragmented re-discovery of an old family footage, depicting the artist’s family on a summer day boat ride. The footage depicts three generations of mothers, daughters and sons, each touched in one way or another by immigration and exile.

The audience are invited to re-enact the motion from one point to another across the piece, to reclaim fragmented artifacts of memory.
