You-Eye consists of a pair of web-based interactive motion-activated pieces examining the meaning and affordances of commonplace user interface (UI) elements.
As signifiers and actuators, UI elements broker human-machine transactions through defining a vocabulary of gestures.
Borrowing only their outermost surface, You-Eye repurposes these elements to propose ephemeral gestural sketches that neither signify nor actuate; but rather pose questions.
Can decision making be reduced to checkboxes?
How do map markers convey place-ness?
